I've written some free software in the past. In fact all code I am writing is GPL-free if I have any say about it. I'am using free software exclusively and this is one form of giving back to the community. This list is not yet complete - I'll try to complete it shortly.
Some of this projects are of historical value now. I do include them anyway in the folowing list just to not let them vanish completely. Maybe someone will use some parts of it for something useful. So first the current projects then the historical ones.
- CrystalView
- A visualizer for the VASP quantum mechanical code.
It allows one to see charge and magnetic moments density and
integrate it around an atom. You can also see the structure
and draw forces acting on atoms.
The project is located on SourceForge. You can get the code
from CVS there. I'll post the tarball of the first release shortly.
- VReport
- This is a perl script to extract summary information from the VASP calculation output. It is fairly useful if you need to see quickly what are the results.
- RawPhoto
- This is a GIMP plug-in to process your RAW files and import them into GIMP. Thist project has been forked with a great success by Udi Fuchs to form vastly superior UFRaw plug-in and stand-alone conversion program. I strongly recommend use of this new code instead of my old code (I do it myself :). Of course this would be not possible without great Dave Coffin's dcraw converter which is a foundation of both plug-ins.
To be continued...
